When Mandy and I were in Minnesota for Kelly’s wedding we met up with Karen and Jeff for dinner in Dinkytown.

Mandy was excited to celebrate our black cats’ first Halloween so she carved a huge cat face jack-o-lantern in their honor.

We went out to a pumpkin patch out in West Portal and picked out some winners to bring back and carve at Moncia and Wuy’s.

Okay, we camped near Point Reyes at Samuel P. Taylor State Park. We spent Sunday hiking around at Point Reyes. Monday we drove back down Hwy. 1 and made a few stops along the way like Stinson Beach and the Muir Beach overlook.

Harley and Moe made it back out to visit us again for a good long weekend. They spent Thursday bumming around SF and Friday in the park with Monica and Wuy. Friday night we had dinner at Monica and Wuy’s - Chris was coincidently in town for business and he joined us too. On Saturday we met the Kims for Korean barbecue in Oakland and then spent the day in Berkeley. We ended the day with dinner at the Bunker. Sunday morning we headed north to go camping.

Kim, Jay and Alex were in Lake Tahoe for a long weekend to visit their Bay Area friends. Mandy, Sara and I loaded up Stormy and drove out to meet them. We spent most of the day Sunday on a boat we rented wakeboarding, skiing, and tubing. It was a beautiful day and a fun weekend.

Mandy, Monica, Wuy and I went up to Big Basin to do a little hiking. The weather was beautiful. We ended up with a nice campsite in spite of the park being totally full. Aside from the loudmouths next to us it was great. We went on a nice long hike Sunday on our way out.

Mandy and I joined Monica, Wuy, Brian and Alison for a trip out to the Farallon Islands to do some whale watching. It was a rough ride out but we did see a bunch of whales out at the edge of the abyss.

One of my last projects at IDEO was for a Japanese client. Me and my team went to Tokyo to help them prepare for their final presentation to the executives.
