Out to Pescadero Beach for Matt Kahn’s Kite Day.

One of our projects at school was to make two pens in the style of two artists or designers. It sounds wierd but it is a good exercise both for design and prototyping. I chose Henry Moore and Arnoldo Pomodoro.

We thought we’d get the year started right with a good party in the Big Loft. Rebecca danced, Theo climbed up into the rafters, and Jessica and Eric wrestled.

As part of a short-lived tradition, before classes began all of the PD students would go out to the beach to get to know each other before the year got too crazy.
