Rebecca had a going-away party for Karin before she moved to Portland.

We dropped by the opening reception for the 2004 installment of Matt Kahn’s student show Signed Design.

Mandy and I grauated from Stanford. Again.

Alan put together a little barbeque. It was a nice day and it seemed like the right thing to do.

A bunch of us rented a big ol’ van and drove way the hell down to Baja for spring break. We were about halfway down the penninsula on the Sea of Cortez side. We camped on the beach. We touched whales. I got sunstroke and did a crappie-flop in the desert. Ian crashed the van.

Personal Statements are a Stanford Product Design tradition where second year’s have two weeks to design and build something that says something about who they are as a designer. The final presentation is usually more of a party and a PD reunion.

We had a Halloween Part in the Big Loft.

As part of a short-lived tradition, before classes began all of the PD students would go out to the beach to get to know each other before the year got too crazy.

A field trip to LA for Matt Kahn’s Professional Design Exploration. We toured Wet Design and the Watts Towers and checked out the Gehry Walt Disney Concert Hall

under construction.

A bunch of us flew out to Colorado for spring break. We flew into Boulder to pick up Strasser and spent a few days therebefore we drove out to Steamboat for the rest of the week.
